Going Home...Boo-Hoo (June 3, 2012)

Today we had to pack up to come home.  Before we left Annaliese, Walter, and I took a long walk to see the sound.  We took some fun pics and Walter enjoyed pushing Annaliese in the stroller.  Annaliese slept most of the way home and then we stopped at Kristen and Walter's to see their new place in Moyock.  Annaliese and Walter ran around and had a popsicle outside before we left.  When we got home we got everything cleaned up.  Annaliese was getting frustrated with all of the time cleaning up and wanted my attention.  When I couldn't give it to her at the moment she got mad and threw the phone down.  I was sad and walked away and covered my face to have a quiet moment.  She doesn't at all like if I cover my face and said, "Mommy please talk to me" as she's sobbing.  I calmed her down and explained that she cannot throw things down when she's mad.  

 Here are a few "grumpy" faces...I'd like to think it was a long weekend and she was just tired!

Hatteras Beach (June 2, 2012)

Today we all went out on the beach.  Annaliese enjoyed us being able to drive on the beach.  She called it a "bumpy ride."  She absolutely LOVED every minute of the beach, every inch of the beach, and every grain of sand!  She entertained herself the entire time and showed no real fear of the water and waves.  She played with Walter some, by herself some, and the rest of the time ran all around!  As soon as we got in the car to drive down the beach she crashed and slept for awhile.  Later on we had dinner and then went to watch the boys drive go carts.  Annaliese called them "lawnmowers."  Then we went in and played in the arcade.  Annaliese loved pretending to drive.

Hatteras Bound (June 1, 2012)

Today we left for Hatteras.  We went down for our annual "Cousin's Weekend" trip to my Aunt and Uncle's cottage in Hatteras.  Annaliese took her nap on the way down but this time we had to stop at the lighthouse to get the permit to drive on the beach.  While Daddy went in to get the pass Annaliese and I took pics outside of the lighthouse.  We enjoyed being with family the rest of the night!
